It’s the holiday season! In Montgomery, Alabama, that means it is time for one of the most fun events of the year, the Capital City Christmas Parade! Every year, Montgomery comes out to watch this parade and celebrate the holiday spirit. But when is the parade this year?

This year, the Capital City Christmas Parade will be on Friday, December 14th, with the parade beginning around 6:15 p.m. This parade always features tons of floats, groups, participants and fun for the whole family as we celebrate Christmas in Montgomery!
If you’re looking to catch the action with a good view along the route, the parade begins at the steps of the Alabama State Capital, 600 Dexter Ave. Then it proceeds through Montgomery and ends at about the Dexter Fountain. There’s plenty of space but there will also be plenty of people there to witness this Christmas spectacular, so be sure to get there early and find a good seat!
When is the 2018 Raycom Camellia Bowl in Montgomery?
Another fun annual event that happens in Montgomery is the Raycom Media Camellia Bowl! This college football game always hosts two great teams from the Sun Belt and Mid-American Conferences for a night of great football! When is the game this year?
As it turns out, the game is the same weekend as the parade, as the game will be played on Saturday, December 15th at 5:30 p.m. ET. Talk about a weekend packed with fun events! The game will pit Eastern Michigan vs Georgia Southern and it’s shaping up to be a thrilling matchup!
